BALLET
Devonport School of Dance offers The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from Pre-Primary through to Advanced grades. The RAD is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations and classes are taught by experienced, qualified and registered teachers.
Pre-Primary and Primary ballet classes may sit a class award with the teacher present. From Grade 1, students attend ballet lessons twice a week and work towards sitting an examination or class award in August/September and/or a performance award. Students sitting Vocational Examinations must also attend a weekly pointe class. These exams motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities. There is a focus on creativity and musicality, with a graded system providing opportunities to progress and achieve.
