DATES

• RAD Ballet Graded Exams/Class awards- Term 3 between 2nd August - 10th September 2025.

• RAD Ballet Vocational exams- Term 3 between 7th - 27th August 2025.

• DSOD Performance awards- Term 3 Friday 19th September 2025.

(Exact dates are confirmed by the RAD and DSOD after entries are received).

MOCK EXAM DATES

Mock exams will be held over the following weekends:

• 26th & 27th July 2025

(Exact dates will be confirmed before Term 3 after entries are received).

REQUIREMENTS

• Pre-Primary and Primary students must be attending 1 lesson per week regularly since the beginning of the year to sit a class award. 

• Grade 1 upwards, students must be regularly attending two lessons per week from August 2024 to sit an exam.

• Vocational students must be regularly attending two lessons per week plus pointe class from February 2024 to sit an exam.

• Students must have been attending at least 1 lesson per week since the beginning of Term 2 2025 to sit a performance medal award. 

• Students must continue to attend every class (unless sick - please still attend if injured!), practice at home with the use of Band videos, music, exam practice pack and attend mock exams and private lessons where suggested if wishing to enter an exam or class award. 

• It will be at the teachers discretion if your child should enter an exam or class award. They will take into consideration attendance, evidence of some home practice and progress and focus in classes throughout the term. This is for the benefit of your child so they don't feel pressured and under prepared for their exam. They may of course move to the next level with their peers if they do not sit their exam. Performance Awards are always an option (and highly encouraged) for all students.

PAYMENT

Payment is to be made by Sunday 13th April 2025 into the DSOD account: 02-0888-0125761-000 using your child's name, grade and "exam" as the reference.

*please note an extra exam admin fee of $25.00 per exam/class award and $15.00 for the performance award has been included in entry fees to cover expenses associated with running exams. These admin fees are non-refundable*

Exams and performance medal awards are optional but are highly encouraged!
